These Air Fryer Broccoli Cheese Bites are ideal as an appetizer for Christmas or New Year's Eve. Simple to prepare, healthy, and delectable.
I hope you're all getting an air fryer for Christmas this year. I got mine for my birthday this summer, and it's quickly become a go-to gadget for me.
I love that I can still eat all the crispy things without having to fry them. Because crispy is a kind of love language for me.

10 oz fresh broccoli florets
1/4 cup water
1 large egg
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
3/4 cup breadcrumbs
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Boil the broccoli florets for 2-3 minutes until crisp-tender.
After cooling down, finely chop the florets.
Mix egg, cheese, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper.
Form the broccoli mixture into bite-size balls.
Place in the freezer for 30 minutes.
Spray with olive oil.
Air fry at 350°F for 5-10 minutes.
Recipe Note
They'd be a lot of fun to serve at a party. I'm thinking of putting two on a toothpick and serving them on a platter for a unique and fun appetizer.
They also make a simple and tasty side dish. It's not your typical steamed or roasted broccoli. The new presentation may even make your children want to eat broccoli.
