Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground thyme
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
- 2 (12 ounce) skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
Directions
- In a mixing bowl, combine paprika, thyme, cumin, cayenne pepper, onion powder, black pepper, and salt together. Then, move the mixture into a flat plate.
- Massage oil using hand into each chicken breast until fully coated. Then, soak each piece of chicken breast in blackening spice mixture, make sure to force and squeeze it down so spice sticks on all sides. Let it sit for 5 minutes then, set a side while preheating the air fryer.
- While waiting for the spice to stick up into the chicken breast, preheat your air fryer to 360°F for about 5 minutes.
- Then, place the chicken in the air fryer basket and cook for 10 minutes. Turn over and cook each side for additional 10 minutes. Before serving, move the chicken breast onto a plate and let rest for 5 minutes.
