Air fryer Pumpkin Shaped Roll
The effort is well worth it for these adorable pumpkin-shaped rolls. If you don't have pumpkin, try sweet potato instead.

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- ½ cup pumpkin puree
- 2 large eggs, divided
- 2 tsp water
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- Sliced pecan halves, for the stems
Directions
- Mix the milk with yeast, granulated sugar and stir.
- Allow the yeast to bloom for about 10 minutes until frothy
- Add the butter, pumpkin puree, one egg and salt in a yeast mixture and mix well.
- Gradually add the flour and mix well
- Flour the surface
- Knead the dough for 5 minutes. Then, transfer the dough to an oiled bowl
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap
- Let the dough rise in a warm spot for about an hour until doubled in size
- Transfer the dough to a lightly floured work surface
- Divide the dough into 15 equal pieces
- Shape the dough into balls
- Make the pumpkin shape using string
- Put in the pan and cover and let it rise for 45 minutes
- Put the pumpkin-shaped rolls to air fryer and cook at 350℉ for 3 minutes
- Poke a hole into the top of each roll.
- Then, in a small bowl whisk the eggs and water.
- Brush the rolls with egg wash
- Cook in the air fryer again for 350℉ for 15-20 minutes
- Allow the rolls to cool for 15 minutes
- Cut and gently remove the strings from the rolls. Then, place a pecan half into the hole of each roll.
