Air fryer Sweet Potato Fries

A delicious, crunchy sweet potato fry is one of our favorites. Though oven-baked fries are delicious, these air fryer fries are even crispier and take a fraction of the time! We can't think of a finer snack than these with our favorite 3-ingredient secret sauce.

In terms of simplicity and ease, these crispy fries outperform their fast-food fried Russet cousins. Because they are baked rather than fried, they require fewer cooking steps.

Unlike regular deep-fried French fries, these baked sweet potato fries are high in nutritional value. Standard orange sweet potatoes are high in beta-carotene, which your body converts to vitamin A.

Sweet potatoes are also high in antioxidants and fiber, and they help regulate blood sugar levels. They're also high in vitamin C, manganese, copper, pantothenic acid, and vitamin B6.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/4" sticks
  • 1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • Kosher salt and ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp barbecue sauce
  • 1 tsp hot sauce

Directions

  1. Add sweet potato fries, olive oil, garlic powder, paprika in a large bowl with sweet potato
  2. Place fries in the basket in a single layer
  3. Air fry at 345°F for 5-8 minutes
  4. Flip or toss the fries
  5. Cook for additional 5-8 minutes
  6. Mix Mayonnaise, barbecue sauce, hot sauce in  a bowl
