Time to make a homemade chicken nuggets for your kids! Follow these easy steps on 𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙣 𝙉𝙪𝙜𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝘼𝙞𝙧 𝙛𝙧𝙮𝙚𝙧?👇
1 1/2 pounds chicken breast
1 cup pickle juice
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
3 large eggs
1 1/2 cups plain or Italian breadcrumbs
Nonstick spray, for cooking
For easy honey mustard sauce
1/2 cup Dijon mustard
1/4 cup honey
Cut the chicken breast into 1 -inch long and 1/2 -inch thick, nugget-sized pieces. It should resemble more of a plank than a cube. Place the nuggets in a bowl and pickle then marinate for 30 minutes or up to 1 hour. 𝘿𝙤 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙣𝙪𝙜𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙖 𝙢𝙚𝙨𝙨.
Prepare three medium bowls and in the first bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Then, whisk eggs until smooth in the second bowl. Lastly, add breadcrumbs to the third bowl.
Remove the nuggets from the pickle juice and pat them with dry paper towels.
Add to flour mixture and coat well the nuggets (𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙖 𝙛𝙚𝙬 𝙣𝙪𝙜𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙩 𝙖 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚), followed by eggs letting any excess egg drip off, then, finally fully coat with breadcrumbs for crispier nuggets.
Spray it with nonstick cooking spray. Then, put the nuggets in a single layer with in-between space on each nugget. Set the air fryer temperature at 350°F for 6 minutes. Flip each side and make sure to cook for another 5-6 minutes after flipping.
For the sauce, you can dip the nuggets to mayonnaise, honey mustard, or ketchup. Serve the nuggets while warm with your dip choice.
